DEAN’S MESSAGE

Today, advances in science and technology prolong life expectancy by providing early diagnosis and treatment of many diseases, while newly emerging diseases cause mass deaths. These changes in the field of health have increased the role and importance of health workers and made them more visible in the health system. Health services include all the work done for the protection of health, the treatment and rehabilitation of diseases in order to raise and improve the health level of society and individuals. According to Jean-Jacques Rousseau, there is a social contract between occupations and society, occupations gain value according to the quality of the services they provide to society. In this context, the society has an expectation of qualified service from the professions that provide health services. It is possible for professions to provide qualified service to society by receiving qualified education.

The aim of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University Faculty of Health Sciences, which has adopted the mission of producing and disseminating knowledge, producing qualified graduates, producing solutions to social problems, providing national and international competence in education; our aim is to train our students as professional professionals who have the power of creative thinking in their academic or working life, attach importance to ethical values, have a sense of responsibility towards the society, share, think multi-dimensionally, adopt the principle of continuous learning, research, productive, open to innovations, and take an active role in multidisciplinary studies.

The Faculty of Health Sciences, which was established in 2016 and started to accept students in 2018, has 532 students studying in the Department of Nursing, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Nutrition and Dietetics. Our faculty is also preferred by foreign students and aims to be among the most preferred universities with the quality education it provides.
