About the Department
The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation was started the activity in 2019-2020 academic year in accordance with the Faculty of Health Science and accepted the first students.
Degree Earned:
Students who successfully complete all the courses in the four-year education plan and have at least 240 ECTS are awarded a bachelor's degree in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

Measurement and Evaluation:
Measurement and evaluation are carried out according to the principles of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University on Education and Exam Procedures in Associate and Bachelor’s Degree.
Description of the Program:
Graduates of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation receive the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Undergraduate Diploma and the title of physiotherapist. A physiotherapist is responsible for all kinds of diseases, injuries, congenital disabilities, old age, pain and dysfunctions that cause movement disorders; Appropriate exercises in order to maintain the health of healthy people, who determine the functional limitations, pain, disability and abilities of people with special measurement, evaluation and examination methods, plan, implement and re-evaluate the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program for the development of function and functional capacity after the diagnosis of the specialist physician, is a healthcare professional with professional autonomy who plans preventive programs.
The increase in the future needs of societies in order to increase the quality of life in various movement and function disorders in the world and in our country makes the development of the physiotherapist profession inevitable. With the gradual increase in life expectancy and the aging of the population, understanding that quality of life is as important as living, preventive and curative Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation has become one of the priority areas in parallel with scientific and technological developments.
As the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department, our primary goal is to research, question and transform the information obtained from the theoretical and applied courses within the 4-year education and training program of our students, to have problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills, to be able to make critical, interpretive and scientific studies, To enable them to grow up as competent people in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

The working fields of physiotherapists and therefore the demand of the market for graduates are increasing day by day.
